Depression is usually thought of as a loss of vitality, both physical and mental along with a loss of pleasure and motivation.
In modern´medicine we tend to want to diagnose it early so that we treat it early and label the person as being depressive and therefore needing a specific treatment.
This is how depression is being treated among us, like any other ´´dis-ease´´, by tampering with the biology and physiology of the person, by increasing or decreasing one or another marker in the body…
This way of addressing depression usually ends up making the person feel even more miserable and more dependent on the medications and on an ever-increasing dose without obviously treating depression at its root cause.
What can be another point of view on depression?
Feeling depressed is surely a situation where one is feeling low, not motivated, unhappy but is mainly a disconnection from the beauty and love in the world.
Feeling depressed is not a condition. It is a product, a product of low self appreciation, lack of strong purpose, lack of connection to one’s own body and lack of connection to the Source of Life.
It is in a way a disconnection from the heart and source of joy, love and ecstasy.
Depression is going through a low, a low in energy, a low in motivation, a low in the joy, a low in the purpose.
Purpose is a master word because with purpose there is no depression.
With purpose, the purpose to be and the purpose to thrive there is no decay, no disease.
This is why many of us experience disease and decay… solely because they are lacking a purpose!
And what this purpose could be?
It could simply be to know the self, respect the self, listen to the self and nurture the self with the appropriate food for the body, for the mind and for the spirit.
So many of us have forgotten what nurturing and pampering is.
They have forgotten how to love deeply and genuinely the self, its body/temple, its mind and its spirit/LIFE giver.
Should you go back to eating proper food, both for the mind and the body and depression you would never know.
Eat natural food and go more to nature.
Listen to the birds´ songs, to the nature´s music; listen, smell and feel.
Listen to the dance of the ocean´s waves, dance with the wind, feel it on your face, laugh, run, jump and enjoy life.
Depression is a simple sign that you haven´t been pampering yourself, haven’t been enjoying your own company, haven´t been dedicating your time and energy to listening carefully to your own desires and aspirations.
When you listen to the self and its deep aspirations you are on a roller-coaster of laughter and amusement.
Listen to your deep wants, re discover your uniqueness, your unique attributes, and your own vibration and sound.
When you reconnect with the primordial sounds of life and your own pulse, depression has nothing to grow on!
Rediscover your inner self, make peace with this beautiful self of you, with your stories and your past and be assured that there will be only joy.
When you dedicate yourself to the Self, flow, ease and joy are your daily gifts.
