Karma: A Reflection on Action, Intention, and Resonance

What Is Karma?

For those who have been brought up in Asian traditions and philosophies, karma is not a word that raises eyebrows.

But for those raised in monotheistic religions, or those identifying as atheists or agnostics, the word might be met with skepticism—or even rejection—as it is often associated with the concept of reincarnation, which may feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable.

But remember: words are just words.
Yet, words carry intention and energy, and their meaning is shaped by what you choose to assign to them.

The Energy Behind the Word

You don’t have to believe in past lives to understand karma.
You can simply see it through the lens of a universal law:

Action – Reaction

✨ If you do good, good will eventually find its way back to you.
✨ If you harm someone, unpleasant events or people might eventually show up in your life.

Why is that?
Because of another universal law:

The Law of Resonance

Whatever energy you emit, you attract that same quality of energy.
Whatever you focus on, and especially what you feel intensely, will find a way back to you—sooner or later, one way or another—with the same intention behind it.

It’s Not Always Black and White

Does this mean that every time you hurt someone, something bad will happen to you?
🌀 Not necessarily.

Let’s say you spoke a non-loving word to someone because you were feeling hurt. That was your way of protecting yourself.
This carries a different vibration than if you said something unkind with the clear intention to harm.

It’s not just about the act or the words.
💫 It’s about the intention behind them.

Even if your words appear loving on the surface, but your inner energy is not aligned with them, the true quality of your energy is what counts.

And no—you cannot fool the Universe.
This isn’t about judgment or punishment. It’s about energetic laws.

Avoiding “Karma Build-Up”

The best way to move through life consciously is to regularly ask—genuinely and humbly—to be forgiven for any word, thought, or action that may have caused harm, whether consciously or unconsciously.

That includes harm done to others and to yourself.

You Are a Student of Life

Always remember:
🌿 We are all students in this world.
We make mistakes. That’s part of the learning.

Let compassion and forgiveness be your faithful companions on this path.
Use them generously—with yourself and with others.

It’s not about perfection.
It’s about awareness, intention, and the energy you bring into the world.
